Robert + Kim = Fun Afternoon

Normally, on engagement sessions, we place the couple, walk to where we are going to shoot from and then turn around and ask them to kiss, cuddle, look at each other, etc. At Robert and Kim's session, when we turned around, they were already at it. They were the sweetest, most affectionate, loving couple I've ever worked with. They made our job so easy.

Congratulations Robert and Kim. We can't wait to shoot your wedding in November!

Sweet Little G

The beauty of this little girl's bright blue eyes and blonde hair is matched only by her sweet personality. Little G is truly one of my favorites to shoot. Here are a few of my favorites from our latest session with this supermodel in the making.

Meet K and T

Mom wanted some casual candids of K and T...and we were at the beach. I'm sure those of you who know us aren't surprised that they ended up in the water :) What a great session.

The Orsi Family

This picture from our session in April with the Orsi family is one of my favorites of all time. I love that you can really tell a little about each person by 'reading' their feet and their stance.

The Brown Family

We played with the Brown Family on the beach a couple of weeks ago. These guys had so much energy! They were a lot of fun. We tried to keep up :)

We really wanted to capture the fun playful nature of this wonderful family. I hope we did. It is impossible to be around these guys and not have a smile on your face.

Congratulations Jason and Valerie

We had the pleasure of shooting Jason and Valerie's beautiful Pearland wedding in April. These two are so adorable together and so much in love.

The crowd at the reception was so much fun! They made the hours we spent there feel like minutes.

Baby Jonathan

Precious baby Jonathan Hunter Shaddix became an angel early this morning. We ask that you please keep their family in your prayers though this incredibly difficult time.

Bikers Against Breast Cancer

On Saturday May 16, motorcycle riders will come together to help raise awareness of breast cancer in our community. Bikers Against Breast Cancer, benefitting The Rose, a non-profit breast cancer organization, will start and end at San Jacinto Harley Davidson, 3636 E. Sam Houston Parkway S, Pasadena, TX 77505, with the party continuing at Hooters -Pasadena afterward.

Mike and I each have a list of 10 photos that we want to take before we die. We call them our "Ten Ultimate Photos." It's sort of a wish list, if you will.
It's also a competition to see who can complete their list first (I'm losing, by the way).

I finally got one of mine at an awesome engagement session on Sunday and I couldn't be more thrilled. We were wrapping up our session when we heard the train whistle and ran back over there. More from Robert and Kim's engagement session later, but for now...

We Need a Favor

Please read the story below about the S family and their son Jonathan. I went to college with Jonathan's mother Katie and her sister Leah (we even lived together at one point...lots of stories, but I won't go there ;)). They are extraordinary people who are in the midst of a tragedy that I cannot even begin to comprehend.

Katie has nominated her mother, Merrell, in a "My Mother is Awesome" contest through Victoria's Secret. When Jonathan was diagnosed, Merrell left her job to be there for Katie and help her care for Jonathan...that is an awesome mother!
